Financial Sanction Compliance Specialist to Financial Crime Risk Compliance
Are you skilled to interpret, analyse and mitigate the Financial Sanctions Risks that Swedbank is exposed to?
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Take responsibility for the design and development of Swedbank’s Financial Sanctions Framework and controls to enable effective management of Financial Sanctions risks.
- Evaluate new and updated Financial Sanctions requirements and embed the requirements, through setting standards, into daily operations and processes in alignment with the stated Risk Appetite.
- Ensure oversight of implementation of the group-wide minimum standards related to Financial Sanctions.
- Create and contribute to Financial Sanctions training and awareness.
- Execute on your Financial Sanctions expertise and represent Swedbank in industry forums.
- Continuously screen regulatory requirements in the area of Financial Sanctions, with a view to identifying needed updates or refinements of the existing standards.
- Be part of a group of highly skilled employees, all dedicated to securing that the Swedbank Group has high quality standards that are commensurate and aligned to the existing risk exposure when it comes to Financial Crime.
What is needed in this role:
- University degree; legal, economics or equivalent.
- Senior experience from working with complex Financial Sanctions related questions.
- Experience working with frameworks in relation to Risk Appetite, including overseeing adherence and alignment with stated Risk Appetite principles. This involves ensuring that Risk Appetite is understood and integrated into risk management activities.
- Profound knowledge and understanding of Financial Sanctions regulations and their implementation (EU, UN, OFAC and the UK sanctions regimes), including relevant associated Sanctions risk exposure.
- Ability to take a holistic view of the Group´s Financial Sanctions processes and embed them into overarching Group Compliance standards.
- Experience in drafting Financial Crime Risk standards to clearly articulate control expectations, especially within the area of Financial Sanctions.
- Have a structured and consistent way of working, be humble and exercise a strong sense of integrity.
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities to enhance and develop existing standards.
- Ability to work independently with challenging tasks and in a changing environment.
- Enjoy a high paced environment and be able to handle several tasks simultaneously.
- Have a humble attitude and a strong belief in cooperation as the best approach to solve a problem.
- Ability to explain difficult things in a clear and simple way, and
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English as well as good knowledge of MS Office.
