Head of Internal Audit (Estonia)

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Help to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight;
- Take an active part in the continuous improvement of governance, risk management and internal control in Swedbank;
- Taking Internal Audit to the next level and drive digitalization and the usage of data analytics and automation techniques;
- Lead the team of internal auditors, develop and help them succeed within their areas of responsibility;
- Analyze and assess risks and internal controls. Conduct and document the Continuous and Annual Risk Assessment and Audit Plan;
- Oversee the ongoing activities and fulfilment of the Audit Plan;
- Prepare quarterly reports and communicate audit results to the Management Board, Audit Committee and Council;
- Interact with national and international regulators, supervisors and external auditors;
- Get a good overview and understanding of Swedbank's overall governance, risk management and internal control.
What is needed in this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration and/or Economics, or a related field;
- CIA certification;
- Demonstrated experience from working in similar positions in the financial industry;
- Experience from a managerial position or role of leading, developing and motivating other people;
- Extensive audit experience. Strong knowledge of regulatory and internal control framework. Strong commitment to professional auditing standards (IPPF, including the Code of Ethics);
- Deep knowledge of the regulatory environment in the financial industry;
- Understanding of work in projects;
- Very good interpersonal skills; being curious, courageous, maintaining high integrity as well as an adaptable mindset;
- Good analytical skills, a strategic mindset;
- Be a team player supporting the audit team;
- Strong communication skills in both oral and written English/Estonian, being able to communicate with top management and auditees;
- Excellent report writing skills in English;
- Ability to handle tight deadlines, to be able to support the audit team with proper planning of audit work and securing timely deliveries of the audit plan.
