Chief Product Owner Quality Engineering

As Chief Product Owner, you will own and drive the transformation of our test data and performance engineering domain, shaping the strategy, architecture, and delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant testing solutions.
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Define and execute the strategic vision for test data and performance engineering, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and regulatory standards.
- Lead the modernization of testing practices, including test environments, data provisioning, and performance testing.
- Manage the domain’s full budget, including staffing, tooling, and software subscriptions.
- Empower Agile Product Owners and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions and continuously improve.
- Collaborate across domains to bridge legacy systems (including mainframe) and modern technology stacks.
- Build and develop a high-performing, T-shaped team with the right skills to meet current and future testing demands.
- Champion automation and tooling initiatives to streamline test data provisioning and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
What is needed in this role:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience (10–15 years) in software testing, test environments, and test data management, with recent experience in leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
- An understanding of enterprise data architecture, test data provisioning strategies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
- Experience of working with mainframe systems and test data provisioning is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge in performance testing frameworks, synthetic data generation, pseudonymization, and DevOps practices.
- Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and mentoring other leaders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including C-level.
