Swedbank’s Norwegian branch serves larger corporates and institutional clients with loans and financial instruments. We are now looking for an experienced economist to join the Nordic macro team. 

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

• Act as a central part of the organization with high visibility and impact both internally and externally
  
• Have end-to-end responsibility for producing and communicating regular macroeconomic updates and insights to both internal stakeholders and our corporate and institutional clients
  
• Work close with senior leadership, client teams and external stakeholders
  
• Join a highly professional cross-Nordic macro team with senior economists and analysts
  
• Shape the Chief Economist role according to your expertise and strengths
  
• Work at the intersection of business and economics

What is needed in this role:

• Deep understanding of global macroeconomic policy, central banking and financial markets
  
• Experience in engaging in media, forums or panels
  
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams
  
• Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or similar
  
• 8+ years’ experience within the banking industry, investment management or in similar fields
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex economic concepts
  
• Fluency in Norwegian and English
