Agile Product Owner for Service Operations Platform

We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). In this role, you will ensure the CMDB becomes a trusted, structured, and value-generating asset that supports ITSM, ITOM, security, compliance, and enterprise architecture needs, enabling reliable and efficient IT services.
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Own the CMDB vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with enterprise goals and the ServiceNow platform strategy.
- Ensure compliance with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework, driving progressive adoption across the organization.
- Define and prioritize backlog items for CMDB enhancements, integrations, and data quality improvements.
- Partner with ITSM, ITOM, security, and business stakeholders to align CMDB data with operational and compliance requirements.
- Lead initiatives to improve data accuracy, integrity, and automation of CMDB population.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and dashboards for CMDB health, maturity, and value delivery.
- Collaborate with platform governance forums to ensure federated owners align with guardrails and standards.
- Drive adoption of CMDB best practices, processes, and tools across IT and business teams.
- Communicate CMDB strategy, progress, and value to executives and stakeholders.
What is needed in this role:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Platform Owner, or similar role within ServiceNow or ITSM platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Configuration Management, CMDB, and CSDM principles.
- Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, ITOM, and enterprise architecture practices.
- Hands-on experience working in cloud-based ServiceNow environments.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, and influencing at multiple levels.
- Proficiency in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and compliance/regulatory outcomes.
- Experience supporting technology risk, audit, or regulatory reporting (advantageous).
- Practical experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
