As Data Privacy Manager, you will drive the integration of privacy practices into Group Risk and safeguard data across critical initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Data Privacy Risk Assessments and overseeing mitigation of identified risks.
- Supporting the Risk Portfolio by applying Swedbank Group Privacy policies to business processes, IT services, and cloud solutions.
- Monitoring and managing data breaches and privacy incidents, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
- Partnering with IT Development, Architecture, Legal, Information Security, and Business Process Owners to embed privacy into new technologies, including AI-driven solutions.
- Delivering privacy trainings and awareness programs to build competence and a culture of compliance.
- Continuously improving privacy management practices to meet GDPR and other evolving regulations.
- Reporting on privacy status, risks, and improvement progress to senior stakeholders.
What is needed in this role:
We believe you will succeed in this role if you have:
- 3–5+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, information security, or risk management.
- A relevant academic degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or equivalent.
- Certifications such as CIPP(E), CIPM, CISSP, or similar (a plus).
- A solid understanding of GDPR and emerging privacy challenges in cloud and AI environments.
- Experience handling data breach investigations and implementing remediation plans.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across legal, IT, and business teams.
- Knowledge of data protection controls such as encryption, access management, and cybersecurity best practices.
