Internal Control Specialist

In Group Finance Process & Risk Control, we manage a bank-wide risk framework on Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR). We add value by providing assurance on the reliability of Swedbank’s quarterly statements. ICFR requires a combination of skills in Finance and Risk Management, as well as a general understanding of the IT environment.
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
Identify financial reporting risks throughout Swedbank Group and perform reviews to assess the design and effectiveness of related internal controls
Coordinate regular self-attestation of internal controls and collect, analyse and report the assessed financial reporting risk to the Group CFO and senior management
Provide guidance, advice and training on internal control over financial reporting to staff throughout the Group
Ensure high-quality risk and control data and enhance the functionality of the supporting tool for ICFR
Liaise with external auditors in planning and independent testing of controls in the framework
Maintain and further develop internal and external working relationships to facilitate effective collaboration around internal controls
What is needed in this role:
University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or another relevant field
Hands-on experience from working with risk assessment and internal control design in a regulated financial institution
Experience in accounting, risk control or external audit
Ability to analyse processes, complex financial data and control environments
Structured team player who can see the bigger picture, takes accountability and strives for continuous improvement
Strong communicator at a professional level in both Swedish and English (speaking, writing)
Meriting: experience from BIG 4, GRC, COSO, IFRS
