Area Manager (AI area in Baltic Corporate Financing)
Are you passionate about leveraging AI technologies, driving innovation, and making a positive impact through transformative projects?
As an Area Manager you will be a part of Baltic Banking Transformation and Innovation Sub-Department, holding end-to-end responsibility of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions for Corporate Financing across Baltics.
In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
Take full accountability for identifying, prioritizing and delivering AI and RPA solutions for Corporate Financing across the Baltics by owning and driving the AI/RPA roadmap for the area
Analyze the Corporate Financing Process to identify inefficiencies, repetitive tasks, and decision-making bottlenecks, highlighting areas where AI or RPA can add value
Build robust business cases for each idea and define KPIs and success metrics focused on realized value and adoption
Act as the business owner during implementation by coordinating between technical teams and business units. Monitor progress and ensure delivery meets business needs. Take primary responsibility for change management, including end-user adoption, training and communication.
Drive adoption across countries through presentations, workshops, hands-on engagement and internal communication.
Actively use AI tools in your own daily work and continuously explore new AI capabilities and applications.
Serve as a role model and trusted advisor for business leaders and colleagues in adopting AI‑enabled ways of working.
Be an ambassador for AI solutions by showcasing benefits and success stories to local business units.
What is needed in this role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, technology, or another relevant field
Strong understanding of corporate financing processes, including ability to map, analyze and identify workflow gaps where AI or automation can create measurable impact
Proven experience implementing AI‑driven or automation solutions in a business environment. Deep technical expertise is not required, but confidence using and applying AI tools is essential
Ability to act as a bridge between business and IT, translating business needs into clear solution requirements and ensuring alignment throughout implementation
Experience creating and managing a strategic roadmap, including defining priorities, sequencing initiatives, and balancing value, feasibility and stakeholder expectations
Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to run initiatives end‑to‑end — from idea validation to adoption — independently and with accountability for outcomes
Excellent stakeholder management, ideally in a cross‑border or matrix environment, enabling productive collaboration with colleagues in the Baltics and Sweden
Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to engage diverse business groups, lead workshops, drive adoption and explain AI‑enabled improvements in a clear, non‑technical way
Hands‑on experience using modern AI tools (e.g., M365 Copilot or similar), with readiness to experiment, learn and promote new ways of working
Curiosity, critical thinking and a proactive mindset, with willingness to challenge the status quo and identify new opportunities for AI and automation
Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across business and technical stakeholders
