Senior Accounts Payable Accountant

Accounting Lithuania is a unit in Vilnius within the Swedish Finance Division (Swedbank AB Group Finance). We are a dynamic and forward‑thinking team of professionals, constantly evolving and driving innovation in financial processes. We are seeking an ambitious and talented Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success.
As a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. You will be responsible for reconciling invoices, managing vendor accounts, processing payments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
At Swedbank, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice review, reconciliation, and vendor account administration;
Ensure accurate and timely payment execution while resolving discrepancies with suppliers;
Support month-end closing and reporting;
Ensure compliance with Lithuanian tax legislation and IFRS;
Contribute to the implementation of automation and digitalization initiatives within finance processes.
What is needed in this role:
Higher education degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
Comprehensive knowledge of Lithuanian tax legislation and accounting standards;
Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
Fluency in English and Lithuanian (both written and verbal);
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar);
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively;
At least three years of hands-on accounting or finance experience.
