We are looking for an energetic, curious, and results-driven Software Engineer to join our Agile Release Train within Swedbank’s Group Technologies & Data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of our data-driven decision-making. You will play a key role in analysing and developing solutions around complex financial data and processes, generating valuable insights, and supporting strategic initiatives across multiple business unit.

At Swedbank (GT&D) and within SSB VDE (Team Tetris), you have the opportunity to:

• Be part of a cross-functional DevOps Agile team, collaborating to build and maintain high-quality solutions

• Contribute across the full development lifecycle: analyse, design, develop, test, and maintain services delivered by the team

• Identify and maintain requirements and solution models, ensuring accuracy and relevance

• Help shape the organization’s architectural landscape

• Work in a modern, dynamic, and international environment

• Grow and develop through our training and learning programs

• Develop your skills by working with Agile and SAFe methodologies

Competencies within the team:

• Post-Trade and transaction regulatory reporting

• Financial markets, including trading and settlement

• Product knowledge in FX, Fixed Income, Money Market, and derivatives

• Strong development experience in Python, SQL, VBA, and Java

What is needed in this role:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java is an advantage

• Process and/or software modelling skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate with Group and Baltic colleagues

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field — or a strong reason for not having one

• Experience with software solutions and cloud adoption is beneficial

• Solid understanding of financial markets and financial instruments is beneficial

• Experience working in the financial industry or within business units is considered a plus

• Willingness to continuously improve ways of working
