Do you want to shape how Swedbank allocates its capital?

Swedbank has set itself the ambition of at least 15% return on equity by 2027, and how the bank allocates its capital is central to getting there. That question belongs to Capital Steering, a new and growing team within Group Treasury. We own Swedbank's capital allocation process and are building it from the ground up. Now we are looking for a senior specialist to build it with us.

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

• Shape how the bank allocates capital across business areas, portfolios and deals, and build that process from the ground up.

• Influence open strategic questions that will define how Swedbank steers capital for years: how capital is anchored across business areas, how hurdle rates are set, and how regulation reshapes what capital actually costs.

• Set the analytical methods the team works by, from profitability measurement to the impact of capital regulation.

• Help form a growing team, shape its operating model, and influence how it develops.

• Be a trusted sounding board for the whole team, and help colleagues at every level grow.

• Work closely with senior stakeholders across the bank: business area finance leaders, Group Treasury and the wider CFO community.

• Build AI into how a capital team works day to day.
  

What is needed in this role:

• Extensive experience from Treasury, Capital Management, Finance or Risk within a large financial institution.

• Strong understanding of capital allocation, capital regulation and how capital, profitability and business strategy interact.

• Proven ability to analyze complex financial and regulatory topics and translate them into actionable recommendations.

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance analysis, decision-making and productivity.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and finance stakeholders.

• Experience building frameworks, processes and ways of working in evolving or newly established environments.

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
