About us 

Swedbank Pay is a value stream within Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I) organization with the mission to deliver Swedbank’s card payment products. Our customers vary from small merchants in the market to biggest retail chains the region. We provide a number of products to the market but most popular of them are in store Payment Card Terminal (POS) and E-commerce solutions.

 

Swedbank Pay Baltic acquiring cross functional team (CFT) consists of software engineers and business analysts and is responsible for high quality and uninterruptable IT services provision to the internal and external users in all three Baltic countries. The team develops and maintains one of the highest criticality bank’s system which during the peaks processes hundreds of transactions per second. Throughput and stability are the key elements in the team mindset.

 

At the moment we are looking for a Team Manager to join our team!


In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure workforce planning according to short and long term needs
  • Ensure that the CFT understands the mission and takes the responsibilities assigned
  • Take corrective actions on mal-functioning team
  • Coach, remove obstacles and support the team to make sure that they can deliver efficiently
  • Recruit (on-board), develop and manage competences needed in CFT
  • Ensure adequate staffing and competence for incident, problem and crisis management.
  • Ensure CFT members are educated about and adhere to established processes
  • Staff responsibilities including management of staff budget and training needs
  • Ensure safe workplace and staff well-being, incl. rehabilitation opportunities
  • Operational risk responsibility
  • Secure delivery of appropriate, secure and reliable IT services throughout the life-cycle in accordance to the internal and external regulations and standards
  • Ensure that agreed investments opportunities/MVPs from the value stream roadmap are delivered

 

What is needed in this role:

  • Excellent people management skills (servant leader, building team, coach, grow, stretch performance)
  • Good understanding of software development
  • Very good communication skills
  • Very good understanding of Swedbank processes
  • Ability to spot the gaps and find the way to fill those
  • A relevant university degree or equivalent work experience within IT
  • Team-oriented and collaborative way of working as mindset
  • Proactive and solution-oriented way of thinking and acting
  • Big wish to work in the international team and use English as a working language


It’s an advantage if you have:

  • IT working experience with financial institutions or Bank Cards systems;
  • It’s good if you have experience in technologies we use;
  • Experience working in Agile environment;
  • ITIL knowledge.

The technology stack we have:

  • C/C++;
  • Java;
  • SQL, PL/SQL;
  • GIT;
  • Jenkins, Docker, Shell;
  • Atlassian stack: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket;
  • Linux, Unix.
