Are you willing to dive into details of the sanction requirements and help to establish internal control system that would allow appropriately manage the risk?

With us, you have the opportunity to:

  • Cooperate with the Financial Sanctions Officer regarding implementation of the applicable national level requirements and localization of group level sanction risk management policies and instructions;
  • Perform regular quality checks on the sanction (customer base / payment screening) alerts assessed by the business unit;
  • Be involved into Compliance monitoring activities and  into the work of strengthening sanction risk control environment.;
  • Support the business unit in assessing the complex customer cases involving sanctions;
  • Perform independent compliance assessment of the screening tools used and the bank’s sanctions risk management processes according to the annual monitoring plan;
  • When needed, advise the business unit representatives regarding the sanction risk management.


What you need in this role:

  • University degree in Economics, Law or Management;
  • Knowledge about the EU, the UN, the OFAC and the national level sanction regimes;
  • Knowledge regarding the Republic of Latvia legislation requirements concerning sanctions, transaction monitoring and enhanced due diligence;
  • Previous experience in working with sanctions risk management processes (e.g. sanctions alerts handling and investigation) and/or work with the compliance issues;
  • Desire to work in team to achieve common goals;
  • Good communication skills and ability to present your opinion;
  • Analytical mind;
  • Fluency in Latvian, English, preferably also Russian.
