Our unit is called Nina and Communications and plays an important role for the bank by creating new ways and platforms for our customers to communicate with us. We work with technologies such as AI, chatbots, contact center platforms and telephony solutions to create the best possible user experience when communication with Swedbank. As a value stream we are always at the front edge regarding new technology and working methods. Our area is characterized by high business demand, speed and continuous development. In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute in all areas: analyze, design, develop, test and maintain services delivered by the team
  • Proactively reduce the technical depths
  • Have, and continue to gain, good knowledge of the business in the value stream
  • Design software following architecture principles
  • Solve and deploy solutions of incidents and problems
  • Ensure quality awareness and care when designing, building and maintaining software

What is needed in this role:

  • 1+ years of Back-End development experience using Java/Spring
  • experience in developing REST APIs
  • strong technical knowledge in current development technologies
  • caring about software engineering best practices (testing, clean code, code reviews, etc.)
  • ability to work as a team member
  • self-going, quick learner, motivated, positive and open-minded with excellent communication skills
  • strong sense of responsibility and commitment
  • good English language skills


  • experience with Agile development, including continuous integration and coding for automated testing
  • good knowledge of banking business logic and processes, system logics and technical infrastructure
  • university degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar
  • experience in NodeJs development
  • knowledge in JavaScript, Angular and HTML.
