Are you devoted to accessibility and inclusive design in digital channels? We are currently looking for someone to help us improve and strengthen the area of accessibility and inclusive design by coaching our development teams in delivering and building the best solutions for our customers. In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

  • Play a key-role as Accessibility Expert with focus on digital channels tech development
  • Champion inclusive and accessible design thinking in developing solutions across the whole bank
  • Coach, educate and instruct teams (tech focus) in how to work with accessibility and inclusive design to increase usability. (You will be working with both app and web developers.)
  • Act as a point of contact for developers who have tech development related questions on accessibility and usability
  • Actively participate in initiatives to improve Swedbank accessibility, usability and inclusive design in digital channels
  • Help define and communicate best ways of working, fine-tuning and harmonising accessibility and inclusive design work across tech development teams
  • Help create processes, routines and information flows with accessibility focus so that all developers have the information they need, a clear idea of what's expected of them and an understanding of how their work fits into the bigger picture
  • Assist developers in whatever practical matters they need help with, in order to deliver tech development that meets Swedbank accessibility level

What is needed in this role:

  • To be an authority with hands-on, practical experience in accessibility and assistive technology, and be capable of leveling from strategy and influence into some of the most critical company work as needed
  • Profound understanding in digital channels usability and accessibility best practice, and how this is implemented in tech development
  • A certain level of seniority (about 5-10 years of experience) in a design and digital development field – with focus on accessibility and inclusive design
  • Demonstrable experience in driving accessibility into product design development, including developing user interface systems that support multi-modal inputs and a wide range of human capabilities, from low vision, mobility and hearing
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate accessibility, usability and inclusive design and how this is implemented in tech development
  • Demonstrate a professional understanding of accessibility legislation and international standards like WCAG 2.x, ATAG 2.1, EN 301 549 and ARIA techniques
  • Be comfortable with web, desktop, and mobile technologies - and capable of participating in code-level review and discussions to implement standards
  • Absolute team player; excited to collaborate with people across different disciplines and skill sets, with a willingness to truly support and help our developers
  • A certificate from IAAP (CPACC or WAS) is highly valued
  • Experience from working in tech development teams, in large, complex organizations and in
  • a modern, agile set-up is a great plus
  • Proficient English and Swedish, spoken and written
