In Swedbank, as our Head of Talent Acquisition, you have the opportunity to:

  • Make an impact to a Large Nordic and Baltic organisation whose purpose is to create a financially sound future for the many customers it has
  • Develop Talent Acquisition (TA) vision, strategy and executing plans for building sustainable pipelines of diverse talent across Swedbank
  • Lead and develop the TA and Employer Branding (EB) team in a matrix structure
  • Be responsible for Group strategies in TA and EB and relevant investments and implementations of supporting frameworks, concepts and systems
  • Partner with HR Centres of Expertise to:
    • Leverage talent market and support the development of HR data to optimize hiring practices
    • Provide relevant TA insights to strategic workforce planning and leverage the findings to drive TA and EB strategies with business
  • Partner with Capability Leads and Hiring Managers to:
    • Design relevant Talent strategies to attract and retain key talent in prioritized areas
    • Advise on their acute and forecasted hiring needs to successfully scale capability within teams
    • Design solutions (frameworks and tools) to help managers to identify critical roles
    • Build sustainable pipelines for these critical roles by planning forecasts, assessment methods, talent acquisition and internal mobility
  • Partner with Branding and Communications to:
    • Scope and align on effective campaigns, internal and external, to raise the attractiveness of Swedbank in key capabilities
  • Lead our Talent Acquisition team to:
    • Develop our funnel methodology to increase the quality and accuracy of candidates in pipeline
    • Ensure that the team is set up for success by providing them with the leadership, structure, tools and guidance needed for successfully delivering within their scope.

What is needed in this role:

  • Strong experience and understanding of scalable recruitment practices in highly competitive talent segments
  • Understanding of how to create and optimize successful recruitment efforts in a matrix organization
  • Strong leadership skills, and experience of leading large teams of both individual contributors and team leads/managers
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading Talent Acquisition functions through major change, ensuring team structure and ways of working moves in line with company priorities
  • Good ability to provide clear vision and strategy for reaching company expectations on recruitment, both in the short- and long term
  • Good stakeholder management skills, and ability to navigate through a large organization of shifting needs and priorities
  • Clear communication, in packaging efforts and initiatives in a clear way as well as being proactive in communicating progress and bottle necks to relevant stakeholders and peers
  • Strong understanding of the global talent market, trends within it and tools/systems to use for maximizing chances of attracting and retaining relevant talent in a proactive and strategic way
  • Good understanding of how to use talent insights to successfully plan and prioritize recruitment efforts in a data informed way as well as providing stakeholders and peers with accurate data on realistic hiring targets and other hiring KPIs
  • Experience in setting the strategic direction for Employer Branding (EB) and driving both local and company-wide EB initiatives
