Are you interested in strategy development and the financial services industry? 

We are in search of new colleagues to Group Strategy, to develop the Group’s strategy, and facilitate effective execution of related transformation activities.

The purpose of Group Strategy is to support the CEO, deputy CEO and CFO through leading, facilitating, and guiding strategy development for the Group and in Business Areas. The team is responsible for supporting the Group Investment Committee / Group Executive Committee with:

I. Strategy development – Development of the group’s Strategic Direction, Group strategy, and targeted area deep-dives with strategic importance

II. Strategy execution and follow-up – Leading annual tactical planning in developing the Group’s execution plan, establishing targets as well as steering and follow-up of Swedbank’s strategy and delivery of strategic / key initiatives

III. Special engagements - Various engagement from CEO / CFO

Group Strategy is part of Group Strategy, Planning & Control within the CFO organization. Group Strategy, Planning & Control is comprised of Group Strategy, Group Steering, Group Controlling, Management Analytics, Group Tax, and CFO Management Office.

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and analyze strategic topics and form the strategic direction
  • Work with colleagues and topics across the whole organization such as business development, risk, finance, and technology
  • Participate in the banks financial and strategic prioritization work
  • Facilitate strategic execution and continuous problem resolution on group level

What is needed in this role:

You will be a vital part in facilitating the development of the bank’s strategy, operating model, and efficient execution of the strategy in close dialogue and cooperation with all areas cross the Group. Consequently, you will get the opportunity to play a key role and be part of the rapid transformation of the bank.

  • Strong interest in strategy development, and translating strategy into effective execution as well as developing and performing execution planning, steering, and follow-up
  • Good understanding and a strong interest in the banking industry transformation
  • Experience from strategic change management, bank/finance and/or management consulting
  • Curious and innovative mindset and the experience and confidence to challenge and facilitate the right priorities, content and focus of the bank’s strategic roadmap
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

You shall have an ability to plan, manage and execute activities as well as manage stakeholder expectations. You have a strong drive to continuously develop and improve and you have strong focus on results and value. The role will imply contact and collaboration with multiple units and executive management cross Swedbank Group.

You have a solution-oriented mindset, a “can do” attitude and likely a minimum 0-3 years of relevant work experience. You should have a strong academic record and excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.). The position will also require strong verbal and written communication skills.
